Vail Academy & High School Breaks Ground at the Tech Park
The K-12 school will house 225 K-8 students and 225 high school students. Each grade level will accommodate approximately 25 students. The small class size provides an interactive environment where students receive personal attention. The K-12 model allows the curriculum to build on the previous grades' teaching, which provides a consistent educational foundation and the development of vast knowledge around important concepts.

Bell Independent Power to develop solar plant at the UA Tech Park
Bell Independent Power Corp. will develop a new state of the art 5-MW solar plant with a Thermal Storage System that will be the first of its kind in the world. The solar plant will be located in the Solar Zone at the Tech Park. The Solar Zone is being designed and developed to create an environment that supports all aspects of solar development generation and distribution, research and development, manufacturing and production, workforce development and public awareness.

Tech Park Celebrates 15th Anniversary
In January, we will celebrate the Fifteen Year Anniversary of the Tech Park. The celebration will include a tenant appreciation event, a regional meeting of university research park directors from throughout the western United States and a community reception.

UA Tech Park's Economic Impact
The University of Arizona released a report evaluating the performance of The University of Arizona Science and Technology Park and its significant contribution to Tucson and Pima County’s economy. UA Science and Technology Park: Economic Impact 2007, authored by Dr. Jaewon Lim of the UA Office of Economic Development, examines the economic and tax revenue impact of the UA Science and Technology Park for the calendar year 2007 for Pima County. Key areas in the report include: employment impact, wage impact, output impact, tax revenue impact and total dollar impact.
